rainy nights

rainy nights
 
loud dripping of rain,
tapping the roof overhead.
i heard a sigh.

here, you are.
 
eyes closed,
breaths steady,
chest rising and falling;
deep in sleep.

roll on my side,
your face serene in peace;
light snores vibrates the air;
my finger reached out,
painting feathers on your cheek,
you stirred and turned.
 
do you know?
 
in my sleepless nights,
when my mind was plight with thoughts,
having you,
is all it takes to calm it all.

HBP #1: Cinnamon Rolls

These are quick and easy to make cinnamon rolls. I searched Youtube for days to finally find an easy (but probably unorthodox) but sure win recipes and try them. Thankfully the rolls turned out wonderful with fluffy textures and savory taste.  A credit to Bincy Chris, whom I found on Youtube. Your cinnamon rolls recipe was amazing. HBP #4: Earl Grey Bread with Brown Sugar Filling

As Sarawakians, we would have the annual harvest festival that is celebrated nationwide. So, I attempted to make flavored bread with brown sugar filling. Here's how... Liquid Infusion Process For the infused liquid, I used earl grey tea bags from Ahmad Tea. The process of infusion takes overnight so before you bake, you need to prepare this the night before. All you need is cold milk or cold water.  I used 200ml of cold full cream milk and put a bag of earl grey in it. Cover the top of the container with cling film and leave them overnight in the fridge. You may use it the next morning or next baking day.  If you are baking with water, then replace milk with cold water. It is simple. No sweat!
